What is colour blindness?
Colour Blindness is where a person, in most cases a male, cannot see colours, although complete colour blindness (monochromacy) is very rare. The most common type of colour blindness is red-green colour blindness (dichromacy). Another type of colour blindness is blue-yellow colour blindness (tritanopia), but it is less common. One of the ways eye doctors can figure out if a patient is colour blind is by using The Ishihara color discs (see pictures below).
